All park entry fees must be paid in advance through the bank. Cash payments are not accepted at the gate, although credit cards are often accepted. This system helps speed up the entry process and improve visitor safety.
The gates of Tsavo West National Park are the only official entry and exit points. They also serve as checkpoints where travelers are registered before entering.
Park rangers may share important safety information and guidelines for visiting the park. Gates are positioned in different parts of the park so that visitors can enter from whichever route is most convenient.

It is famous for its history as the “Park of the Man-Eaters,” named after the lions that attacked railway workers during the building of the East African Railway.
